The Re-entry Coach provides ongoing, individualized student support services designed to help program participants persist and successfully complete their education and training goals. The position works with program staff and with faculty members and other staff throughout the College to continually assess students’ progress, implement helpful interventions as necessary, and track overall program outcomes. The Re-entry Coach will assist the Program Coordinator with processing specialized funding requests including Second Chance Pell applications for the incarcerated population.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :

1. Provides ongoing, individualized student support services designed to help program participants persist and complete their goals.
2. Acts as the main point of contact for student once initial enrollment process is completed.
3. Continuously works with students to guide them to achieve academic success.
4. Supports students from enrollment to graduation.
5. Assists with outreach and retention efforts.
6. Helps to coordinate student/employer interactions, such as early work experiences, tours of workplaces, and other activities as assigned.
7. Works collaboratively with other departments and services to understand processes, systems and services to resolve student issues.
8. Represents the department at community events as assigned.
9. Provides accurate and timely quantitative and qualitative data for grant reporting.
10. Works with the Re-entry Program Coordinator, Re-entry Program Director, faculty and other staff members of the College to continually assess students’ progress, implement helpful interventions as necessary, and track overall program outcomes.
11. Participates in various events including, but not limited to: departmental meetings, orientations, advisory committee meetings, graduation ceremonies, job fairs and student appreciation events.
12. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
13. Assists program participants with re-entry specialized funding requests including the incarcerated population’s access to Second Chance Pell funding.

10. Ability to maintain professionalism, cooperation, patience and understand in stressful situations.

Required Qualification
Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of full-time experience advising, coaching, case-management and/or counseling, preferably inside a correctional setting and/or with individuals on supervision or who have been recently released from a correctional facility.

Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $54,330 Minimum Department Re-entry Services
