We are looking to add the right people who will support our company mission, vision and values. We are currently seeking an Re-Bearing Technician to join our team in Bay Minette, AL.


The primary duties for the re-bearing center technician are tearing down, inspecting and assembling airends. The re-bearing process involves teardown, parts washing, rotor reconditioning, and assembly. The technician will be expected to learn to handle all stages of the work flow from start to finish. Must be highly motivated and excited to learn how to become a master airend builder.


Essential Duties:

  • Teardown and inspect incoming cores. Determine which parts can be harvested and put them in the correct bin location.
  • Wash and prepare castings for re-assembly.
  • Recondition rotors with the media blaster and traditional manual filing methods.
  • Shadow senior builders to learn to build airends
  • Record serial numbers, hours to build, parts used and harvested in the re-bearing center database.
  • Manage inventory storage aisles, put parts in inventory and communicate w/ coordinator counts etc.
  • Works safely, keeps area clean and free of hazards.
  • Inspect and keep tools in good working order


Physical Demands:

  • Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking).
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., twist, turn, climb, stoop, kneel, push loads, pull on pipe wrenches and work in awkward positions.


Experience & Education:

  • Substantial related industry experience. Knowledge of the CTS range of products and services, safety practices and OSHA procedures, as well as experience in process management are required. Customer facing experience would provide a significant advantage.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical or college degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Relevant mechanical repair experience preferred.
  • Relevant experience with mechanical parts and inventory preferred.


Skills & Competencies Desired:

  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Experienced in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, dial indicator, R.P.M. tachometer, etc.
  • Proficient at reading assembly drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair airends
  • Must be able to write legibly and fill out required reports and forms.
  • Understand inventory procedures in re-bearing center.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., twist, turn, climb, stoop, kneel, push loads, pull on pipe wrenches and work in awkward positions.
  • Good work ethic and maintain high quality standards.
  • Desire to exceed productivity expectations.
