Radiology Technician Assistant Job at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical, and patient related functions within the radiology department. The Radiology Tech Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. Schedules examinations and instructs patients in preparation for specific diagnostic examinations. Performs authorizations and other clerical duties when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required and maintained.
3. Experience and knowledge to operate general office equipment.
4. Knowledge of basic anatomy, with one year of health care exposure preferred
5. Basic knowledge of infection prevention, sterile techniques, universal precautions, OSHA standards, and personal radiation protection experience preferred.
6. Strong customer service and verbal/written communication skills.
7. Self-motivated and dedicated. Able to work independently at times.
8. Ethical and professional, exhibiting these behaviors at all times.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks meeting objectives and deadlines. Work independently at times.
10. Able to work with others to attain common goals.

Schedule: Full Time, Weekends
