R&D Biology Project Lead, Turf and Ornamentals - Research Triangle Park, NC (Hybrid) (ID: 2203518)

We are seeking exceptional candidates for a R&D Biology Project Lead (BPL), Turf and Ornamentals position who will be mainly responsible for planning and coordination of the Fungicide, Herbicide, Insecticide and Biologicals field development programs to support the discovery, selection and development of new pest control tools, technologies, and commercial products.

Leading the field development program in NA for approved projects for evaluation of new fungicidal, herbicidal, insecticidal, and biological research compounds and life cycle management of established pest control products.

Providing leadership for selection and development of protocols for evaluation of new technologies, digital solutions and precision application technologies for Turf and Ornamentals products.

Effectively generating efficacy and crop safety data to support product registrations. Determine the appropriate pest spectrum controlled, crops, rates, formulation, application methods and timings and strategies for product labels in close cooperation with Regulatory, Formulations, Field biology and Tech service.

Collaborating within APN Biology and with global Research and Development, Marketing and Technical Services teams in selection of novel compounds that qualify for early, late, and full development phases. Drives excellence in implementation of Product Launch guidelines and supports commercial targets for newly launched products.

Ensuring that the data is properly captured, analyzed, interpreted, and shared with global and regional stakeholders in a timely manner. Coordinates and provides biology data summation necessary for EPA and State registrations.

Participating and making technical presentations in internal meetings and at scientific conferences.

Your formula for success…

Ph.D. or M.S. degree with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in agriculture sciences. Preferred field of study is Plant Pathology and/or Weed Science, Entomology, Biological Sciences, Crop Science, Agronomy, or related fields.

Knowledge of crop protection research processes/techniques, agronomic and plant protection practices, mode of action, best management practices for resistance management and other sustainable agricultural practices.

Technical knowledge and experience in small plot research, evaluating field trials, data analysis and reporting.

Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with an ability to take complex scientific concepts and translate them into simple messages.

Working knowledge of computers and software, ARM, specifically MS Office necessary for communication, data collection / analysis, and knowledge sharing.

Domestic and international travel for this role is expected to be at least 10-15%.
