The Quality Control/ Gun Custodian is responsible for all aspects of quality control under the contract. This individual shall develop an inspection process based on the contract requirements while performing and documenting inspections, analyzing the resulting data, and submitting the data to the Director of Quality Control. They will be responsible to ensure the effective, efficient, and accurate QC operations of the following:

  • Identify problems affecting the quality of a contract both operationally and administratively.
  • Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions to quality problems through designated channels.
  • Verify implemented solutions to problems.
  • Perform investigations as assigned.
  • Report writing requirements and special orders.
  • Compliance with uniform and appearance standards.
  • Attendance and compliance with proper forms.
  • Knowledge of screening operations.
  • Maintain and execute weapons custodial duties as required by the state/city of New York for Paragon owned and issued firearms within the state

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a low risk driving record.
  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • A management style emphasizing quality, leading by example, and have genuine concern for employees.
  • A decisive manager vetted through leadership training; as an Officer, Supervisor, and Contract Manager Accounts experience.
  • Knowledge of security services, rules, and regulation at federal facilities and an in-depth knowledge of physical security standards and procedures.
  • Well- versed in management and client protocols essential to the fostering of excellent customer service and positive client interaction.

COMPETENCIES (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Ability to write reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures, and to speak English fluently.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Use of personal computer and standard office productivity software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various internal and external documents and reports.
  • Ability to conduct effective and confidential investigations.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to contract operations in the applicable states.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws related to weapons in the applicable states.

  • Required to use vehicle for the performance of duties.
  • Regular talking and hearing.
  • Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to perform work inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
