Lyons Magnus is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for its Fresno location.

Pay range: $23-$26/ Per hour

Overview of Position:

A position in the Quality Assurance Department at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The position resides at an interface between Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Research & Development ensuring that formulations and Lyons ERP are accurate, processing requirements are capable in each respective

facility, and where our customer’s requested technical raw material documentation/surveys are completed on time and in full.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Review all formulation, quality control and processing change requests for accuracy.
  • Follow policies in updating change requests in Lyons ERP.
  • Recommend and update polices to reflect out of date or improvements to ways of working within job.
  • Accurately update ERP changes and request approvals.
  • Assist with CCP verification which includes record and chart recorder review.
  • Update Redzone parameters for new products and product changes
  • Product and production data review from Tableau software.
  • Review and update SOP and specification SharePoint databases
  • Organize and disseminate departmental samples, paperwork, tasks to responsible individuals.
  • Conduct internal GMP Audits to include publishing audits, recommending corrective actions and assigning owners.
  • Assist in annual and customer audit preparation.
  • Perform other related and assigned duties by manager.

Required Education:

  • Minimum of B.S. Degree in Food or Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience within the food-manufacturing environment,
  • Experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, research & development, or technical documentation.
  • Must be computer literate and detailed oriented.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams, internally and externally
  • Individual must have technical knowledge through education or experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus upon critical information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with short and long timelines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills (pays attention to details and effort to understand causes instead of just the effects) and creativity for developing innovative solutions and applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Prepare a variety of comprehensive administrative and technical documents and reports.
  • Read and process written information with high degree of accuracy.
  • Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high level of quality, ethics and customer service.
