ICANotes is looking to hire an energetic and enthusiastic remote Quality Assurance Software Manager. Get in on the development of an exciting new healthcare product for the behavioral health space. The Quality Assurance (QA) Software Manager is an instrumental member of the project team, helping to ensure that a solution is fit for end user's needs. QA Software Manager works closely with the CTO, the Director of Product Management, Scrum Master, Chief Architect, and the entire project team to review the overall functional and non-functional requirements, while keeping a user's perspective in mind.

Activities in this role will include

  • Directing the QA team for comprehensive testing of application development and production releases
  • Mentoring QA team members in effective testing strategies,
  • Directing development of automation for smoke-test, regression and stress testing
  • Analyzing non-functional requirements and technical designs
  • Translating functional requirements into test cases
  • Identify defects and drive them to resolution
  • Review requirements and design specifications for clear acceptance test criteria
  • Advise the Product Creation team regarding requirements and design testability
  • Advocate for QA best practices during all stages of the project
  • Develop, communicate, and implement comprehensive QA strategies to ensure testing coverage over the duration of a project
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and business users to understand use cases and requirements
  • Reproduce, analyze, and document software defects.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine, implement, and continually improve on our software development best practices
  • Ensure software security by developing programs to meet HIPAA requirements and actively monitor the sharing of private information
  • Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high performance product creation team.

Qualifications

The ideal, candidate will possess a drive for thinking creatively to resolve complex problems and enjoy contributing to solutions regardless of their functional role within a project team.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a QA management capacity
  • Demonstrated skills developing and implementing effective testing programs for commercial software applications
  • Expert in QA fundamentals and can apply these to a variety of project types.
  • Able to create and execute test cases, stay organized in testing efforts, and accurately identify, document, and report software defects

Additional Skills include:

  • Proven experience creating and executing test cases while leveraging various test heuristics
  • Deep knowledge of testing best practices as applied to SaaS cloud platforms
  • Proven abilities in test plan and test case development and execution
  • Comfortable using a variety of test case management and issue tracking platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum disciplines preferred * Experience with end-to-end system development lifecycle of SaaS implementation projects preferred * Hands on experience tracking and reporting defects, issues and overall results to peers and management * Able to work closely with QA Automation resources to identify test automation use cases * Self-motivated and ability to excel in team-oriented environment, yet able to work independently requiring minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment on large-scale mission critical software projects
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential
  • Health Care or Pharma experience is a plus
