We've onboarded some of the world's most reputable brands and now we need a Python Data Migration Developer - Contract-To-Hire for one of our clients.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Note: Potential for contract to hire after 6 months

Requirements

• 5+ years of previous data migration experience (legacy code)

• Highly experienced using Python, SQL and Foxpro

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Keen attention to detail while keeping an eye toward the big picture

• You are comfortable with the nuts and bolts of systems programming in the Linux environment (shell/bash scripting)

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Excellent English language presentation and communication skills

• Experience profiling, debugging, tracing, and or parallelizing/optimizing Python code.

What you’ll be working on

DMI is seeking a Python Data Migration Developer to assist with the migration from FoxPro to SQL.

• Using your expertise in coding, you’ll write scripts to facilitate this data migration.

• Your experience will allow you to help the Data team organize, plan and execute on all its goals

• Streamline ad-hoc report creation

• Coordinate and plan all work across the team to achieve its goals/milestones

• Brainstorm features based on your knowledge of the codebase.
