We are looking to add a Service Technician / Field Service Engineer to our Nikkiso Cryogenic Service (NCS) team in Malaysia.

Although this position is primarily based in our Malaysia operations, it covers Southeast Asia. Applicants who possess a valid work visa in Malaysia or who are members of the Association of Southeastern Asian Nations (ASEAN) are welcome to apply. Sponsorships are not available.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, service, and repair of cryogenic pumps and related equipment for the LNG and industrial gases industries
• Performs inhouse repairs of Cryogenic Pump and Turbo expander Components as well as other tasks as assigned
• Provide high level technical support to customers at their location, handle warranty requests and respond to customer questions
• Provide on-site equipment training to customers, and support installation, commissioning, repair, and spare parts management
• Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
• Fit, align, and adjust all components, including bearings and seals and units to close tolerances and document all clearances on assembly clearance data sheet for review and approval of engineering.
• Check work to ensure conformance to specifications, instructions customer requirements on all drawings and work instructions per SOP procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work area in accordance with 5S principles.
• Follow all Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Safety Procedures.

Position Requirements:

• Technically competent in rotating equipment and software of cryogenic pumps and related equipment for the LNG and industrial gases industries
• Formal education from a Technical College or University preferred, although experience is Rotating Equipment is also highly considered.
• Generally, safety conscious and having been trained in any safety courses would be an added advantage
• Familiarity with industrial testing standards, especially in mechanical and electrical repairs is desired
• Ability to read prints and schematics
• Must have ability to draft reports and communicate in English
• Skilled in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering practices with good problem-solving skills
• Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Possess interpersonal skills that enable harmonious working relationships with all stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
• Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
• Extensive travel for continuous periods of time, typically between 2 weeks to 2 months.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with cryogenic pumping equipment
• Experience with turbo machinery
