POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for conducting patrols around the Crystal Mountain Resort property. Public Safety personnel will be required to have the ability to safely operate a vehicle, stand on their feet for long periods of time and work outside in the elements. This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, a good work ethic, and punctuality. This position does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
Patrol all facilities and keep records of patrols
Monitor and respond to alarms and reports of crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
Identify safety hazards and fix or report to Risk/Safety
Monitor parking lots for overnight vehicles.
Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports.
Meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees and the public.
Communicate via radio, telephone and orally.
Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.
Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform and carrying needed issued equipment.
Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 25
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to Ski/Snowboard (preferred)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of previous security / law enforcement/ military experience
Guard Card (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to 80% of the time walk, talk, see, hear, and smell. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a 12-hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor / Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Hazardous Materials / Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
Equipment Used in Job: The position may require the use of driving company vehicles and seldom use of snowmobiles.
Working Hours: This position may be required to work outside of business hours including overnight.
