Full or Part time Psychiatrist position available in our Arkansas Valley Region in La Junta, Colorado. The primary responsibilities of the position is to provide safe, quality and culturally sensitive medical services to our patients who seek services. Provides psychiatric services to patients, to include history, assessment and treatment. Initiates or recommends psychotropic medication for patients with psychiatric illnesses or substance use disorder. Is available for consultation for primary care clinicians and behavioral health providers in all Valley-Wide sites. Provides or makes recommendations for patient education related to psychotropic medications and mental health illness. Develops clinical guidelines for the medication management and diagnosis of patients who require treatment for behavioral health disorders. Will be involved in an interdisciplinary team that includes primary and behavioral health and case management.
Must foster a culture of patient and family centered care, service, quality and safety excellence, while improving patient experience, employee experience and community relations.

- Medical License valid in Colorado
- Current BLS as defined in the credentialing policies and procedures
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) desirable.
- Drug screen is required
- Background check is required
