Earth Tech Enterprises utilizes the latest technology to reshape the landscape of Florida for future communities. Our services include mining, aggregate processing, land development, lake bank restoration, beach and shoreline projects, environmental services, and marine services.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft subcontractor agreements for Project Manager review/approval; track to ensure executed/signed agreements are returned and filed.
  • Responsible for overall aspects of management of the subcontractors.
  • Assist in planning work schedule and delivery of equipment to site.
  • Complete equipment usage reports and assign proper equipment cost codes.
  • Ensure proper completion of equipment return/receipt reports.
  • Obtain, evaluate, submit, and track all submittals to owners/customers.
  • Prepare monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.
  • Obtain materials quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders for approval.
  • Accurately track, maintain and report counts of material inventory.
  • Prepare and track project RFIs.
  • Track invoices and receipts for field purchase orders and maintain field purchase order files and documentation.
  • Create and file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports) daily to follow-up on and/or summarize project issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.
  • Routinely inspect job site for general project and safety compliance, and appropriately communicate issues to Construction Manager and on-site Safety Manager.
  • Attend site meetings with owners and subcontractors.
  • Create a material tracking log, and perform quality check for all material with the approved product data from the architect.
  • Assist project manager in collecting all the necessary documents for permit submission
  • Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals, shop drawings

Quality Communication:

The Commercial Project Engineer must be an excellent communicator, in both written and oral form. Ability to take a large amount of information and summarize it quickly both in writing and orally on a regular basis. Effective communication skills and ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external customers.

High Level of Discretion:

Since our Commercial Project Engineer will regularly work with confidential information; discretion and sensitivity regarding financial information is a must. Must be able to collaborate and communicate well with these team members, maintain a can-do spirit and self-manage workflow with little supervision.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Bluebeam/Procore or similar software preferred.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in commercial construction project management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the essential functions safely and successfully, maintain regular & punctual attendance and lift 50 lbs. with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
