DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to join our team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, which provides integral mission support to the NNSA. To learn more about LANL, please go to: https://nnsa.energy.gov/aboutus/ourlocations/los-alamos-national-laboratory.

This position is full-time and will serve the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM in a remote capacity.

OVERVIEW

  • Develops and maintains schedules.
  • Provides resource loading for engineering support of projects by the Engineering Services Project Delivery Groups.
  • Performs cost estimating, analysis and control activities.
  • Identifies trends for management attention.
  • Performs schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities.
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities, when delegated.
  • Supervises and provides technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities, when delegated.
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled.
  • Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, and cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and home office.
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency in using personal computer operating systems and several basic software applications.
  • Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
  • Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is requ ired.
