Production/Manufacturing Technician Job at Cardinal Insulating Glass Tomah
We are actively recruiting for A/B Shift and C Shift Production/Manufacturing Technicians.
Shift Pay and Schedule:
A/B Shift: 12-hour day shift. Work 2 days, 2 days off. 6:00am - 6:30pm, every other weekend off.
- Starting: $19.00/hour (90-day probation)
- 3 months: $19.50/hour
- 6 months: $20.50/hour
C Shift: 6pm - 4:30am, Monday-Thursday.
- Starting: $20.50/hour (90-day probation)
- 3 months: $21.00/hour
- 6 months: $22.00/hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
We have a variety of positions available for each shift. These positions, and their responsibilities, are included below:
Glass Tempering: Tempering is the process that strengthens the glass and creates a specific break pattern. The Off-Load glass tempering worker is responsible for moving glass lites from the unload table of the furnace into racks. The On-Load glass tempering worker is responsible for seaming the glass and loading the bed of the furnace.
Glass Cutter: Operate the cutting table and break out individual pieces of glass (lites) and slot them in racks. Set up and organize racks according to the production schedule.
Mezzanine Position: Working in the Mezzanine has a variety of jobs including unloading carts of channel from the filler room and organizing channel on racks, bending channel into a spacer that separates the glass, applying butyl to channel, filling channel with desiccant, cutting stock sizes of channel, cutting internal grilles and bars, and operating machines that punch holes in channel.
Line Assembly: Working at the Assembly Station requires manually placing channel on the deleted edge of coated glass for the Assembly Master to pair the clear glass with the coated glass. Working at the Load end of the line requires manually moving single pieces of glass lites from racks onto the line.
Line Packing: The Packer works at the unload end of the line and removes units from the line and places them on racks in a scheduled order.
Line Closer: Line closer is responsible for moving racks for robot-packing and closing out racks.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally (Not required for Mezzanine Position)
- Ability to twist and bend body
- Ability to read and comprehend measurements
- Ability to rotate positions and work with others
