Production Maintenance Technician Job at Capital City Press
The Advocate is recruiting for a Production Maintenance Technician.
This individual will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all equipment and computer systems used at production plant.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Daily observation and preventative maintenance of newspaper manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs to production equipment, including ancillary items that support the operation.
- Comprehensive review and completion of daily maintenance reports.
- Parts and consumable inventory controls.
- Candidates must be able to follow all established safe work practices and housekeeping procedures.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge Requirements:
- Preferred: specialized trade school or vocation training in mechanical and electronic repairs.
- Basic knowledge of computers and verbal and written communications.
- Preferred: 3 years of working in mechanical and electrical repair field in a production environment.
- Considerable knowledge of machines, tools, and production equipment.
- Basic understanding of the production process.
