Production Line - 2nd Shift Job at Chesterman Co. Coca Cola
Position Summary: Must be able to learn and operate all machinery on the can line and bottle line. To float between can line and bottle line as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must be able to learn and operate all machinery on the Can/Bottle line.
- Operate the can line filler/seamer safely and efficiently.
- Operate the Hicone, tray maker and the multi-packer effectively and efficiently.
- Watch operation of palletizers.
- Keep multipacker running.
- Change over products.
- Watch for crushed and down cans.
- Keep floor area clean and picked up.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High-School Diploma/GED
- No experience necessary – on the job training is performed.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication skills
- Dexterity skills
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to learn and operate all machinery in production.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and coworkers and to operate equipment.
Work Environment: Works in a warehouse. Ear protection is required in production areas. Must wear hair/beard net in designated areas. May work extended hours or days to complete production orders. Will float to different production lines as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual and auditory abilities required to do the job
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling product.
- Occasional bending
- Ability to push/pull <50lbs
- Ability to lift/carry <50lbs.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Salary: $36,000 - 50,000/yr
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 4pm - job completion; extended days and hours as needed
