Palfinger USA, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Production Electrician in the Tiffin, OH area. The Heavy Equipment Electrician will have experience in wiring 12V and 24V electrical systems. Past experience with construction equipment, farming equipment, or class 8 trucks is preferred. The primary duties will be installing knuckle boom cranes to class 8 truck chassis, and connecting the crane electronics to the truck electronics. Some light mechanical work will also be required. The Heavy Equipment Electrician will also be responsible for programming truck parameters to improve crane performance.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Install knuckle boom crane onto class 8 truck chassis
• Connect all crane electronics to truck electronics architecture
• Add and program features into truck electronics such as dash switches and camera systems
• Install and wire all federally required DOT lighting
• Design and install wiring circuits utilizing relays, fuses, and diodes
• Program truck performance features including ramp rate and PTO parameters utilizing truck programming software
• Program crane performance features and test crane and truck package to ensure performance meets customer expectations

Job Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in 12V or 24V electrical systems (3 years minimum)
• Understanding of class 8 truck electronics architecture preferred
• Must be physically able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 75lbs+ for extended periods of time
• Must speak, read and write English
• Supply own tools

PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided.

The In-House Service Technician's primary responsibility is for the branch leadership, operations performance, labor efficiency and timeliness of delivery. The main goal will be in expanding our market share for Palfinger service with a focus on customers.
