Production Associate Job at MW Industries, Inc.
The Production Associate assists the Production Manager by performing a variety of duties that ensure accurate production of parts to specification while maintaining the production schedule. Additionally, this role acts as a liaison between the customer service team and the shop floor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
- Creates digital records (from drawings, specifications, etc) for all new production parts
- Interfaces with shop floor to transfer manufacturing notes into digital files
- Physically and digitally changes production and ship dates on work orders as requested by customer service and management.
- Interfaces with multiple departments on material status and production planning issues. Provides order status reports to customer service
- Reviews sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
- Monitors the manufacturing schedule throughout each month, making changes as/when necessary (e.g. equipment failures, delayed arrival of resources, etc.).
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Knowledge of production control, planning, inventory control, and materials.
- Proficient in MS Office and in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Excellent communicator with basic math skills and analytical aptitude.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, even when working under pressure.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial Technology or similar.
- 3-5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
