POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for processing salvage to be sold to our salvage buyers.

JOB DUTIES

• Responsible for baling textiles and linens as well as soft toys and cardboard
• Responsible for sorting shoes
• Responsible for sorting and stacking computer monitors, CPU’s, keyboards and other computer materials.
• Responsible for running the Gland line and parts counter as needed.
• Responsible for meeting daily production goals of items being processed.
• Ensure all bales, pallets, gaylords are clearly marked with proper labeling and the correct weight clearly marked and visible.
• Maintain daily production reports.
• Ensure that all PPE issued by Goodwill is properly maintained and cared for.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assisting other department members in performance of Department duties.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Ability to work at any salvage station.i.e shoes, Dell, vertical baler, horizontal baler.
• May include other duties as assigned by Management.
• Regular attendance is an essential function.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be able to read, write, and do simple math, listening and speaking.
• Ability to use tape measure, scales, and other equipment.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Forklift experience a plus

• Meeting of the production goals / standards and quality guidelines consistently. Depending on lines that are being processed the following will be the daily goals:

• Demonstrated ability to meet demanding and changing deadlines despite interruptions

• Speed in following-through on assignments
• Adherence to company policies and procedures.
