We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Principal, Service Management to join our Technology Services Group, Office of the COO team. This role is located in New York, NY - Hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Liaise with Service Owners and Product Managers to understand, review, and communicate their service costs, dissecting their cost compositions, understanding direct and indirect costs and vendor costs to tech domains and service hierarchies.
Coordinate and prepare data for benchmarking and summarize key findings and targeted areas for improvement, including creation of benchmarking/product deck on detail costs, cost drivers, product compositions and descriptions as well as trending.
Work closely with all levels of management to improve on various business processes and integrating with strategic initiatives.
Review current product recovery methodology and assess new products to allocate, including Software cost and other Telecom/Network related costs.
Prepare presentation contents for senior management review, including facilitation of Product Governance Forums and coming up with agenda and content.
Work closely with COO organization, Technology Strategists, CAOs and Finance Organizations.
Assist CIOs and businesses in understanding their allocation chargebacks and product recovery model.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, that will allow professional interaction with varying levels of management.
Strong analytical skills, problem solver, desire to succeed.
BA experience to provide tech or business requirements in building reporting or other technical functionality.
Strong PowerPoint skills to prepare executive level slides or summarize key findings.
Strong Excel skills to do pivot tables and analysis.
Independent and self-driven but comfortable working in team environment
Ability to meet multiple deadlines in an environment where requirements and priorities change frequently.
Self-motivated; able to work with limited supervision.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $191,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
