Beyond our Psychiatry and Wellness Center, we also proudly serve teens onsite at BasePoint Academy. A teen outpatient program specifically designed to address the unique challenges that teens face today in mental health and substance use. BasePoint Academy’s dynamic program was created with today’s adolescent experience in mind.

Located in Tarrant County, our Arlington location is conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Dallas. Our Arlington facility primarily serves the western DFW suburbs.

The Primary Therapist will serve a critical role to help improve student’s well-being and quality of life by providing high-quality professional mental health counseling to teenagers through individual and group sessions, and with families. The Primary Therapist will be responsible for drawing upon their experience in the field to educate and train new staff on professional and clinical skills as well as client protocols.

Responsibilities

· Ensure initial treatment plans and other intake documentation has been completed within regulatory and policy timeframes for all new students admitted to the program

· Conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy in accordance with state regulations and professional licensure law(s)

· Maintain scheduling of all active students to ensure clinical needs are being met

· Collaborate with student’s referring physician/professional, as well as any other pertinent treatment providers, to ensure optimum level of care

· Participate in consultation or supervision in accordance with licensure law(s)

· Attend professional growth conferences and additional training as needed

· Attend scheduled meetings

· Respond to e-mails and other electronic communications in a timely manner

· If necessary, provide crisis intervention services to students to ensure risk levels are properly managed and, when appropriate, triaged to higher level of care

· Perform other duties (within the scope of your license) as needed to support BasePoint Academy initiatives.

· Work collaboratively with a team of professionals.

· Perform other temporary duties assigned that are within the ethical scope of your license to the best of your ability.

· Discuss with the clinical director any concerns with clients, therapy progression, or clinical procedures.

· Establishes and maintains courteous, tactful, and professional level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with students, families, and staff

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)

Attributes

· Master’s degree in counseling or equivalent master’s degree in a mental health field

· Current TX license as a LPC-A, LMSW

· Insurance Credentialing

· Current membership in a professional organizationExcellent written and verbal communication in English

· Comfortable with PC and charting electronically

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
