Pre-Owned Performance Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on assigned dealerships
  • Monitor and track inventory levels and sales volume for area of responsibility
  • Report and communicate sales and inventory trends and metrics to client management; develop action plans as needed
  • Perform customize consulting
  • Create action plans for implementing process improvements at dealers and create training plans specific to dealer audience
  • Understanding of goal planning
  • Consult and train dealership management on profitability opportunities, marketing, inventory management, website and listing practices, warranty, service contracts and available aftermarket products
  • Provide feedback, answer questions and assist dealers with Pre-Owned Vehicle issues in a timely manner
  • Act as SME for dealership profitability opportunities
  • Assist dealers with Pre-Owned marketing
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with the Field Team personnel
  • Coordinate with the Field Teams to develop Pre-Owned Vehicle sales strategies
  • Maintain excellent rapport with dealership management
  • Maintain on-line schedule and submit weekly action plans, expense reports, contact and itinerary reports

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years retail automotive retail management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and motivational skills
  • Computer literacy, experience with Windows, MS Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledgeable of dealership variable operations, especially used vehicles
  • Time management and scheduling skills
  • Data and business process analysis skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to travel
  • Must be able to satisfy requirements for motor vehicle records check.

GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Light Work—Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Physical Activities—Reaching, sitting, driving, standing, stooping, lifting, walking, typing, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Visual Acuity—Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors, and read.
    • Requires visual acuity to view surroundings and identify potential hazards to safety while performing essential functions of the job. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a classroom or other client setting.
    • Visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle.
  • General working Conditions—Both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

This is a full time, salaried, benefited position with GP Strategies. Candidates must be living within the territory or willing to relocate to that area location. No relocation assistance is offered with the position.
