Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to research.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with graduate and undergraduate students as well as with the PI and other faculty members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and perform the experiments under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret the data.
- Write progress reports and prepare results for publication and dissemination
- Write manuscripts for publications as well as research proposals for grant applications.
- Present research findings to colleagues at the group meeting, departmental seminar, and at conferences.
- Operates and maintains sophisticated laboratory/scientific equipment.
- Actively participate as a member of a research team.
- Order research supplies and manage lab instruments.
- Participate with the supervisor to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Participate in teaching a class for the undergraduate students under the supervision of the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
