PM Technician Job at Stimson Lumber Company

The schedule for this position is Wednesday thru Saturday; 3:00 pm - 1:30 am

Responsibilities:

  • Daily lubing of machinery
  • Maintaining the correct oil levels in all plant hydraulic units
  • Sustaining lubricant supply in the mill
  • Cleaning and maintaining compressor room
  • Weekly and monthly PM's - reporting and documenting
  • Assist maintenance crews as needed
  • Follow directions and communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel
  • Report any failures
  • Work with operators to improve TPM/ PM program
  • Ability to learn basic hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-months experience or experience in a production plant setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a basic understanding of equipment and oiling required for equipment.
  • Ideal candidate will have the aptitude for learning mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic).
  • Proven ability to follow direction well and demonstrates thoroughness in completing oiling responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as needed throughout a 10 hour shift
  • Must be comfortable in year round outdoor temperatures, loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipment
  • Satisfactory safety record
