Pentair recently acquired Manitowoc Ice, a leading provider of commercial ice makers, allowing us to enhance and deliver our total water management offerings to an expanded network of channel partners and customers, further establishing Pentair as a leader in a vast and growing industry.
Under the direction of a production supervisor, the Plater Operator will plate parts as per Engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions in support of and meeting production schedules while also meeting customer quality expectations; performs all work activities per company and job-specific safety requirements.
You Will:
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
  • Operate the plating robot and controller.
  • Operate computer to perform daily job functions.
  • Read and use measuring equipment.
  • Perform chemical testing.
  • Test, analyze, and control plating process per standard.
  • Measure plating thickness.
  • Identify each evaporator with a label showing its plating origin.
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices.
  • Inspect parts before and after plating.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Manually lift parts up to 37 lbs. to and from conveyors and racks.
  • Identify each evaporator with a label showing its plating origin.

  • Inspect parts visually and through use of corrosive chemicals.
  • Operate a pallet jack
  • Use various hand tools.
Key Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be knowledgeable and familiar with applicable ISO and Quality System requirements and policies.
  • Prior plating process knowledge and experience is desired.
  • Ability to regularly lift evaporators up to 41-lbs unassisted.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically-demanding, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Shift hours may slightly vary and may be subject to daily & weekend overtime based on operational requirements.
