Responsible for providing administrative support to all facility activities, including security badge key and access assignments, database management, daily office operations, coordination of budgeting/ accounting systems, maintaining office records, and management of all outside contractors.

Coordinates the daily administration of the department.

Contacts vendors and suppliers and solicits information and pricing. Processes orders for supplies, materials and equipment from various vendors and suppliers for department activities including planning/construction/renovation and signage and property management.

Enters purchase requisition data in materials management system. Reconciles purchase order price discrepancies with manufacturer, distributor and account payable as necessary.

Places, answers, and directs phone calls and distributes messages. Directs emergency and high priority work requests appropriately.

Works independently or with minimal supervision to plan, implement, and coordinate special projects. Acts as liaison for department by communicating assignments at Director’s discretion.

Maintains and updates administrative policies and procedures.


Minimum Education:

Associate’s degree

Bachelor's degree (Preferred)

  • Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Licenses:

Valid Michigan Driver License

Minimum Work Experience:

2 years related experience
