Our team in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Plant Manager who will provide direction, leadership, council, and support to Manufacturing, Quality, Receiving, and Purchasing functions and coordinate their efforts to achieve manufacturing portion of corporate goals. This position is also responsible for facility maintenance and upkeep.

At a minimum you'll need:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business or technical discipline or equivalent
• Minimum of ten (10) years manufacturing management experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of current manufacturing technologies and philosophies
• Good financial acumen with the ability to understand and lead through financial metrics
• Proven ability to accomplish goals through the efforts of others
• Demonstrated experience leading lean and continuous improvement actions to achieve goals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products

It'd be great if you also have:

• Desire and ability to teach, train, coach, and develop others
• Experience with Epicor ERP system

As a Plant Manager a typical day might include:

• Developing and implementing annual and ongoing manufacturing plans
• Ensuring a safe working environment while meeting production goals, product quality expectations and on-time delivery of products coming through the facility
• Planning, organizing, directing and running day-to-day operations to exceed customers expectations
• Developing and implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives providing a clear sense of direction and focus
• Providing direction, leadership, council and support to all direct reports
• Coordinating the utilization of direct and indirect labor across the site
• Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary cost and maintaining current quality standards
• Allocating resources effectively and utilizing assets to produce optimal results
• Developing and implementing measurement systems, charts, graphs, etc. to monitor the progress toward corporate goals and responding with corrective action when goals are not meeting plan
• Building awareness of operations role and impact in the total value stream visible to the customer
• Promoting and leading continuous improvement for all function in Syracuse facility to support manufacturing excellence
• Adhering to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices
• Motivating, coaching and developing manufacturing team members and supporting the development of all team members in the facility
• Coordinating and collaborating with functional leaders supporting performing arts objectives and goals as the senior site leader for the Performing Arts Business
