Has overall supervisory responsibility of all financial reporting for the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, customer invoicing, inventory control , property accounting, internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley and cost accounting. Appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities. Actively participates in divisional strategic planning and a business partner for the Vice President of Manufacturing.

Responsible for the facilities accounting practices, the maintenance of fiscal records, and the preparation of its financial reports. Has overall supervisory responsibility of all financial reporting for the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, customer invoicing, inventory control , property accounting, internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley and cost accounting. Appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities. Actively participates in divisional strategic planning and a business partner for the Vice President of Manufacturing.
As a Plant Controller, you will:

  • Manage the financial reporting processes, providing accurate and timely data to local and corporate management.
  • Develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, prior year, & forecast.
  • Interpret financial data for management use in business decisions and identify opportunities for improvement in both plant operations and support processes.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget, and be a key contributor in the annual strategic planning process.
  • Lead capital spending analysis, planning, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and draft the presentation of the monthly P&L forecast comparing against prior forecast, budget and prior year results. Develop processes that forecast revenue at the job level with the ability to summarize by product segments and customer.
  • Partner with site Leadership team in the development of projects that improve productivity.
  • Effectively manage and develop the accounting/finance department staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and career growth while maintaining superior standards for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA preferred; experience in the printing industry a plus.
  • 7+ years related management experience in a manufacturing profit center environment.
  • Proven management-level skills in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and inventory valuation, with strong track record of accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Proficient in use of accounting systems, implementation of corporate financial practices, analysis of financial and operating information to facilitate decision making, and recommending actions to improve performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team building skills.
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and upper management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, database software and other applicable accounting and
  • financial software and systems.
  • Experience in Essbase and SAP is a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally as well as through multiple forms of media.
