POSITION TITLE: Physical Therapist
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is a great position for someone that enjoys working in a team, wants a part-time position, values unparalleled work hours flexibility (e.g., hours flexible to complement your schedule), and is interested in serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As a physical therapist at our facility, you will have the opportunity to:
- work in a team context with residents/families, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, direct support staff, assistive technology specialists, orthotists, physicians, and managers to address the needs of our residents
- evaluate residents and determine physical therapy needs such as walking, positioning, exercise, or ambulation programs
- determine appropriate transfers and adaptive equipment needs
- train staff on programming and problem-solve and oversee ongoing services
- participate in a regular wheelchair clinic with skilled assistive technology specialists
- document services provided and ensure communication amongst team members
- provide some direct treatment as needed
- supervise a physical therapist assistant
DETAILS:
- Up to 16-20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling (e.g., determine your own schedule up to your hours/wk)
- Complete documentation at home if desired
- Computer provided
Requirements:
- Valid Ohio physical therapist license
