JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading and consulting on transformational Performance Improvement initiatives and projects that accelerate the achievement of results. Provides analysis, consultation, gap assessment, team facilitation and idea generation. Accelerates dissemination of successful practices and provides recommendations for organizational continuous improvement. Delivers results in practical, significant, and measurable methods/improvements. Leads complex and large-scale Lean Six Sigma Projects.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Masters preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Four year's healthcare experience as demonstrated in at least one of the following: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Radiology Technician, Laboratory Technician.
  • Other experience in a related healthcare business setting
  • Four years healthcare revenue cycle performance improvement as demonstrated in at least one of the following: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
  • Four years healthcare technical experience as demonstrated in at least one of the following: EPIC Electronic Health Record, EPIC Prelude, EPIC Resolute, EPIC Clarity, EPIC Cogito or EPIC Cadence

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certified.
  • Maintains certification as required by certifying agency, such as American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Tableau Desktop Certification or obtain within one year of hire.
  • Maintains licensure or certification as applicable to the experience section of this job description.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Leads high-priority Performance Improvement projects

2. Facilitates team meetings effectively to achieve results by delineating project goals, roles, overviews, procedures, and expectations.

3. Assists other revenue cycle departments in analysis of internal data and external benchmarking data.

4. Mentors individuals both internal and external in process improvement tools, data analysis, and quality/safety initiatives.

5. Represents project teams in the Medical Center and external forums, through presentations, written reports, or other appropriate forums.

6. Promotes teamwork and overall Performance Improvement reputation and perform other duties as indicated by leadership.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid presentation skills to persuade and influence in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with business partners across departments and facilitate work among teams
  • Meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
  • Ability to help customers set realistic timelines and deliver results within those timelines
  • Ability to apply up-to-date tools/methodologies in solving complex problems that have broad impact on multiple functions
  • Statistical acumen to support data analysis and benchmarking activities
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Suite - Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
  • Must be patient centered in focus
