Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers under a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) model. We provide Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 3 locations across Suffolk County, New York.
LISH is currently searching for Full Time Call Center Representative in our Hauppauge location, Bilingual (Spanish/English) Candidates are strongly preferred. This is an an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in working within the healthcare field.
*Applicants must be able to work a full time, M-F schedule (40 hours per week), with flexibility to cover various shifts on an as-needed basis. LISH's outpatient clinic is open from 7:30am - 6pm, shifts will normally follow an 8 hour schedule between these hours.

General duties include:

• Manage large amount of inbound & outbound calls in a timely manner for a multi-specialty, multi-location health center

• Call Center Representatives are expected to manage 80-100 calls per day with a 90% call answer rate

• Answers calls promptly in a polite and professional manner

• Identify client needs, clarify information, research each issue & provide solutions; submits telephone encounters as requested

• Verify entered data coincides with appointments

• Verify patient insurance

• Verify patient demographics, update as required with accuracy

• Maintain patient confidentiality

• Schedule patient appointments correctly - review appointment dates, times, phone number,and additional contact information

• Provides patient-focused service and presents positive impression of LISH to both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

• Two years medical office experience, preferably in a fast paced physician practice/clinic.
• Two years Call Center Experience Strongly Preferred.
• Scheduling Software and EMR experience (eClinicalWorks experience desirable)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Customer friendly attitude
• Ability and Means to travel between sites
• High school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE) required; College degree preferred
