The Patient Care Tech provides safe and appropriate basic patient care, as delegated by a Registered Nurse, in order to assist patients in achieving established outcomes by: performing comfort measures; assisting patients with activities of daily living (e.g. basic hygiene, toileting, nutrition, etc.); collecting data points (e.g. vital signs, EKG's, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, etc.) entering all lab request information into the database system; providing RN with information utilized in assessment; performing direct patient observation; reporting changes in patient condition to RN; reinforcing patient education; and performing wound dressings as needed.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent. Previous EKG and Phlebotomy experience required and CPR validation within three months of hire. Candidate must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

CNA Certified within 6 months or a nursing student with one year of clinical experience.
