Part-time sales associate
12–24 hours a week
Metropolis Vintage, Albany's premier destination for vintage clothing and accessories, is seeking a hardworking part-time sales associate. Day to day responsibilities will include general upkeep of the front of store, organization of back of store/offsite storage, stocking new items, rotating seasonal items, and basic customer service. Optional responsibilities can include (depending on experience/interest): product photography, creating product listings, and minor alterations.
Required hours are 11-5 Tuesdays and 10:30-4:30 Saturdays. Please do not apply if you are unavailable for these shifts. Optional shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays up to 24 hours total per week.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning
- Organization
- Restocking
- Basic visual merchandising
- Basic customer service
Requirements:
- Clear and effective communication
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Basic math and financial knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and love of vintage fashion
- Retail experience
- Merchandise photography experience
- Experience writing product descriptions for online listings
- Basic sewing/alteration skills
