The person in this position will help our team set up equipment and instruments and maintain sterile technique. This person will assist with procedures and will collect and prepare specimens and provide instructions to postpartum women as needed.

Note: This position requires a health/physical screening.

Department Description

The UCSF Department of Pediatrics is committed to excellence in research, education and the clinical care of infants, children and young adults. Faculty have earned national and international recognition for their accomplishments and receive millions of dollars annually in extramural research funding to advance care for kids. The committed clinical care provided by our physicians is enhanced through process improvement initiatives and contributions to community health, including, but not limited to, increasing access to community resources, immigrant and refugee care, lifestyle intervention for obese adolescents, expansion of quality language services, universal screening for smoking cessation, and improving behavioral health support for our diverse communities. Faculty provide primary health care for the infants, children and adolescents.

Required Qualifications

  • High School graduation and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in health care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Experience in caring for infants.

License/Certification

  • Current valid medical assistant certification.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
