Part Time Cleaner - Floater Cleaner/On Call Cleaner - Min 20 hrs/wk and max 30 hrs/wk

Position Function:
To provide coverage of absent cleaning personel expected and unexpected. This position is guaranteed 20 hours per week with a maximum of 30 hours per week at various building district wide.

General Summary or Purpose Of Job:

Guaranteed 20 hours a week and up to 30 hours week as needed at various buildings district wide. Scheduled assignments may be adjusted slightly as needed due to call ins or building needs.

To provide custodial cleaning and facility services in assigned building(s). To perform minor grounds services including clearing snow from walkways and steps leading to assigned building(s). To assist in the set-up of rooms and other facilities for school and community events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)?

• Vacuum, sweep and/or dust-mop floors in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias and other areas assigned.
• Wet mop/autoscrub cafeteria, kitchen, bathrooms; clean and sanitize sink, fountains, fixtures, mirrors; replace hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Spot mop classrooms, halls, stairs, entryways, kitchen, cafeteria and other areas as needed.
• Empty trash containers and pencil sharpeners; remove and replace trash liners in trash containers.
• Remove marks, stains, and gum from floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures and furnishings; clean door/window glass and dust all areas.
• Perform set ups and cleanups for events and activities; lock and secure building.
• Provide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users.
• Report maintenance needs to head custodian such as repairs and product/cleaning supply needs.
• Perform other duties of a comparable level or type as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (necessary qualifications to gain entry into the job not preferred or desirable qualifications)

• Requires any amount of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Cleaning standards.
• Cleaning methods.

• Use and care of cleaning equipment and tools.

General Physical Conditions:

• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
