Elk Hill is currently recruiting for a full-time, Parent and Child Specialist in the Charlottesville, VA area. This employee will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the delivery of therapeutic mentoring services, parent support, supervised visitation and visit coaching. The Parent and Child Specialist will also maintain a caseload of families while serving as a positive role model for youth and families, providing support, coaching, training, and supervision within a healthy, positive relationship.

We are looking for candidates that:

• Meet requirements of a Qualified Mental Health Professional or Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP or LMHP-R) or High School diploma with the equivalent of 10 or more years working with at-risk youth combined with some supervisory experience.
• Home-based, Therapeutic Day Treatment, Outpatient, or Residential experience, preferred
• Experience in clinical and/or administrative supervision preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
• Hold a valid Virginia driver's license and great driving record
