Job Description


We are looking for a results-oriented Media Manager (contractor) for a temporary six-month assignment. This role will work with one of our clients as an embedded member of their Marketing team and will have the opportunity to shape innovative customer-focused programs to drive successful customer acquisition and brand awareness. The role calls for a media professional who can lead strategy as well as demonstrate expert knowledge of all individual channels from offline to digital. Knowledge of the entertainment space is preferred.

  • Ownership of spotlight projects from inception of the strategy, to the media approach, and to the implementation of the tactics
  • Interfaces with and understands the goals of client's Content Marketing and delivers, in partnership with their agencies, best in class campaigns that help establish the client as a premium Entertainment brand
  • Multi-tasks across multiple content launches in different phases at the same time ( i.e. 1 ready to launch, while 3-4 may be in planning phase)
  • Has a deep understanding of time needed to deliver winning campaigns on a variety of levels of priority and budgets
  • Analyzes regularly distributed analytics reports to better understand what’s working and what’s not and optimizes accordingly; shares key insights and data with team and key stakeholders
  • Day-to-day communication with client's agencies in coordination with all content campaigns
  • Identifies better ways of working at scale through improved processes and changes

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related field of study; MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in media, advertising, or marketing; experience at an advertising agency or client side managing media campaigns is preferred
  • A firm grasp of all media channels and how they work within the consumer funnel and drive entertainment – based launches; prior experience working on cross-channel strategy is required
  • Robust understanding of the digital landscape and channels (mobile, digital, and social); prior experience with digital campaigns is required
  • Expertise in how to drive weekly metrics reports and paid media roll-ups; ability to dig into the data
  • Prior experience with managing large campaign-level budgets and forecasting
  • Sound analytical skills (spreadsheet mastery a must, database experience is a bonus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and oral and written communication skills
  • Established track record of creativity and innovation
  • Ability to drive creative briefing and content delivery when necessary
  • Ability to try different things with minimal direction and deliver results in fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience in bringing new products to market or launching content/entertainment products preferred.

Compensation Range: $43.75 - $74.04. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. This role may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
