The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Production, the Packaging Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the entire Packaging Department at both the Scripps Ranch and Poway sites. This role will be tasked with cultivating an efficient, well-trained, and highly motivated packaging team to ensure all planned production goals are achieved.

The Task At Hand:
  • Oversee execution of daily, monthly, weekly planned production at Scripps Ranch and Poway sites
  • Ensure all JuneShine product is Shelf-Stable, with no potential for Quality Control concerns
  • Work in conjunction with Production planning team to efficiently plan daily, weekly, monthly packaging schedule
  • Drive improvement and implementation of key equipment, material, and product yield efficiency metrics and KPIs
  • Assist Director of Brewing Operations with new equipment commissioning and procurement
  • Ensure Scripps packaging material inventory is correctly maintained and counted
  • Collaborate with Quality team to ensure all packaging department SOP meets JuneShine Quality and Shelf Stability standards
  • Collaborate with Maintenance team to ensure all packaging department SOP meets equipment operation standards
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations to direct and indirect reports while providing constructive, developmental, and consistent feedback
  • Optimize, implement, and monitor Packaging department employee training program, ensuring all team members are proficiently trained on JuneShine Packaging SOP
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision of the packaging team
  • Oversee all staff discipline and separations while following company procedures
  • Conduct and ensure accurate payroll, paid time off requests, meal break penalties, and overtime
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations to direct and indirect reports while providing constructive, developmental, and consistent feedback
  • Optimize Packaging department communication protocols
  • Participate in JuneShine Safety Committee
  • Drive high expectation of Quality and Efficiency in Packaging department
  • Develop, maintain, and implement Packaging department specific SOPs in direct conjunction with JuneShine Quality and Shelf Stability standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement all Packaging department process tracking logs and correlating training SOP
  • Drive cost saving initiatives to ensure JuneShine margin goals are achieved
  • Ensure EKOS inventory tracking and packaging department transactions are being correctly executed
Must Haves:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • 3+ Year experience in supervisory or leadership position
  • 4+ Year beverage/manufacturing or relevant experience
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to San Diego, CA
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company

Compensation:
Full-Time, Salaries ($80,000.00 - $90,000.00), Exempt

Supplemental Pay:
$50 monthly stipend (cell, internet)
