Tasks: This position is responsible for assisting the Packaging Group Leader in set up and adjustment of high speed packaging lines/Slice Machines. Duties also include: Assisting in assuring proper supplies are on hand to supply the line; Installing coder with proper code dates; Responsible for keeping detailed records of product quality, temperature, and line equipment operation; Refilling materials, and tests bar code/label readers on the line for proper maintenance. This position may require frequent twisting of body at the waist and frequent reaching and stair climbing. Candidate must occasionally be willing to individually lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires basic computer skills to be able to utilize an ERP system (scan and enter ingredients and quantities used into computer using handheld scanners and keyboarding). Candidate must be willing to communicate with employees at all levels of the plant. In addition, candidate must be willing to work all shifts. Position includes lock out tag out responsibilities for safe operation.
