Packaging Assistant Job at Fortis Packaging
At Fortis Packaging we manufacture quality bubble wrap and are looking for warehouse packaging associates to assist with fulfillment. This is an entry level position.
Immediate openings available. All training will be provided on the job.
- Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
- Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Verify all deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials through physically counting and comparing the amount printed on the delivery receipt.
- Housekeeping: daily remove/fix any dirty, torn, packaging, ingredients etc.
- Assist management with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.
- Process customer orders, review packing to verify product quality.
- Label packaging as per guidelines
- Check production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients if needed.
- Performs all other warehouse duties as needed.
- Works in an extremely warm environment (up to 114 degrees F).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Responsible and reliable.
- Must possess basic math
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Be able to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility..
Schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime available periodically
- Monday – Friday
- 1st, 2nd& 3rdshift available.
