Tasting Room Server

Vino Salida Wine Cellars is operated in Poncha Springs, Colorado. Our company and staff are dedicated to making and selling high quality, artisanal wines from Colorado-grown grapes in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The Tasting Room Server is a part-time service professional that works with the sales team to provide positive experiences in the winery tasting room.

Responsibilities:

• Present self with integrity, professionalism and commitment to Vino Salida Wine Cellars, salesperson responsibilities, and policies.
• Provide winery visitors & industry partners with excellent customer service and quality tasting experiences.
• Participate in training, sales meetings, winery tours and staff wine tastings to remain educated in industry trends.
• Demonstrate sales abilities through successful presentations of Vino Salida wines, wine club memberships, winery tours, events, special promotions and package deals.
• Stock, sell, open and serve a variety of wines, other beverages and food.
• Responsible for cash, check and credit card transactions on a POS system.
• Responsible for cleaning tasting room, tasting bar area, food/beverage reach-in, bathrooms, dishes, wine glasses, and patio area.
• Work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends and/or holidays; additional hours during the peak season of June-October.
• Prepare, assemble, and serve beautiful food plates.
• Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of wine, beer and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service. *training available.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting/carrying cases (45+lbs) and standing for long periods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Goal oriented, focused, and assertive, needing little direction or supervision.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task in a high-energy sales environment, including food prep and service.
• Adaptable and able to assist a variety of customers and varying personality types, including resolving conflict in a professional manner.
• Must be a team player and able to work with a variety of personalities, being professional, respectful, and friendly at all times.
• Proficient technology and math skills.
• Agree to a background check.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
