Job Description:

Eastman, Inc. is located in Browns Valley, MN.

Eastman, Inc. is looking to employ a hard-working, reliable OTR driver to transport cabinets from Sisseton, SD, using a 53' dry van trailer. We have multiple trailers going out weekly. These cabinets are delivered to the Midwest, East Coast, West Coast, Southeast (Florida, North Carolina), and Southwest (Nevada, Arizona) and many states in between. Each load has multiple drops.

Successful candidates will be knowledgeable of road safety regulations and be able to use the tablet in the truck for the ELD requirement. Candidate should demonstrate time management skills, as well as adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• OTR Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely transporting freight to its destination

• Performing inspections before and after each trip to ensure that all equipment is in working order, required

• Plan routes and pay attention to the weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of freight

• Leave when your load is ready to avoid missing appointment times

• Notifying management and customer of any delay that may affect scheduled delivery times

• Use the tablet provided for your logbook and follow the rules and regulations for drive time and rest times.

• Promptly reporting any traffic violations, accidents, and vehicle breakdowns to management

• Other duties assigned

• Desired Qualifications:

• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

• Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

• Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills

• Current Medical Examiners Certificate and ability to maintain a CDL Medical Examiners Certificate
