This position fabricates a variety of structures from basic skeleton metal structures that are skinned with sheet metal to one off custom railings and kitchen range hoods. A Day In The Life
- Fabricate one of kind ornamental projects based on Architects and Designers vision. Using your skills in blue print reading you’ll cut, grind and fit metal parts together mirroring the architectural drawings. Next step is: using various welding techniques (Solder, MIG and TIG) to fuse together the parts in a manner to insure the geometry stays true to design. Extensive welding knowledge is crucial to keep project true to the blueprint specs. After welding, its ready for detailing (grind and sand) this process is to ensure for a seamless coating process (powder coat or paint). Last step is install, this is where your project goes full circle. You as the fabricator, will assist in the installation of our project, which is gratifying to see your creation in its entirety.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience fabricating and welding custom projects
- TIG Welding experience with Aluminum & Stainless Steel is Required
- Can perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
- Basic experience with MIG in overhead and vertical positions
- Craftsman that is detail oriented
- Industrial mathematics and basic geometry
- Knowledge of Lay-out and basic blue print reading
- High school diploma
- Work effectively in a team environment.
Not Required but a plus!!- Previous experience in installation of the following;
- Steel fencing, metal stair cases, kitchen hoods, etc.
Schedule
- 6:30am – 4pm, Monday through Friday
- Weekend availability during busy seasons
- OT sometimes offered
