Order Entry Clerk in
Fremont, CA.
- 8:00 am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

At Bodycote what we do matters and as a member of our team, what you do matters too. Do you want to grow and advance your understanding of heat treating? Are you interested in working in a fast paced environment supporting production needs and interacting with our customers? In this role you will:
- Review industry and customer specifications to create accurate shop travelers using industry standards, customer paperwork and planning department review.
- Interact with customers as needed to clarify or communicate purchase order discrepancies.
- Assist with other functions as required including answering phone, etc.
- Bring any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to supervisor immediately.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of equivalent/relevant work experience in heat treating or related industry.
- Requires basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, and related subjects.
- Requires knowledge of and/or ability to quickly learn industry, customer and metallurgical standards.
- Requires knowledge of computer applications and good understanding of basic math
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
