Ophthalmic Technicians - Multiple Maryland locations Job at Beale Personnel, Inc.
Currently recruiting experienced Ophthalmic Technicians or Certified Optometric Technicians for multiple suburban Maryland locations including Greenbelt, Bowie, Rockville, Silver Spring, and Chevy Chase. Choose between Retina and General Ophthalmology
All positions are employer immediate hire, permanent full time positions.
Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians or Certified Optometric Technicians work up patients prior to the physician's exam.
Requirements for the Ophthalmic Technician:
- High School education required. Formal Ophthalmic Tech training a plus but not required.
- COA a plus.
- Two or more years experience as an Ophthalmic or Optometric Technician.
Duties of the Ophthalmic Technician:
- Assists physicians with minor in office procedures
- Takes patient histories and performs technical work-ups and special tests
- Efficiently documents all pertinent information in patient records via EMR system
- Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, pre and post-operative care & testing.
- Visual acuity measurements near and far, with and without glasses
- Obtaining Eye glass information manually or via automated lensometry
- Ocular motility screening
- Auto refractions with glare testing
- Intraocular pressure tonometry
- OCT
- Visual Fields
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
