    Position: Accounts Payable
    Reports to : Chief Financial Officer/Finance Manager
    Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; accounts payable experience
    preferred; hands on computer/data processing experience required, with Word and
    Excel skills desired; ability to work well with vendors and staff; good organizational
    skills. A basic skills test may be required depending on qualifications.
    Terms of Employment: Twelve Months
    Basic Functions: Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer perform all of the
    various bookkeeping and clerical tasks needed to process and pay invoices and
    miscellaneous bills for the District. Communicate with all outside vendors and District
    staff as necessary to ensure timely payment for goods received and services rendered.
    Major Duties & Responsibilities:
    1. Receive, review and prepare invoices for payment, matching invoices with the
    appropriate purchase orders and packing slips (to be coordinated with
    Purchasing if applicable).
    2. Prepare all invoices, miscellaneous bills and expense reports not requiring a
    purchase order for payment (utility bills, contract payments, etc.).
    3. Run checks and compare with invoices, assemble fully paid voucher packages
    and mail payments.
    4. Maintain accurate files of paid invoices and other bills.
    5. Operate basic office equipment, including a personal computer, copy machine,
    fax machine and printer.
    6. Back-up to Assistant to Building and Grounds as needed.
    Misc. Duties
    1. Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as the Chief
    Financial Officer may from time to time, assign or delegate.
    Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with
    provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluation of educational support
    personnel.
