Franklin Health Family Medicine – Livermore Falls, a part of MaineHealth, is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing team in Livermore Falls, ME. The NP/PA will be responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. This is a team care approach that will be working closely with physicians and other clinicians to provide patients a medical home – a place to go for help with any health issues.

Livermore Falls Family Medicine providers average 15 to 18 patients daily with ages ranging from birth to end-of –life. The local medical community provides excellent colleague interaction and referral relationships. Come be a part of our dynamic team of providers, which includes two physicians and two nurse practitioners, one PA, working with exceptional support staff.

We are a designated National Health Service Corps site which allow primary care physicians to participate in additional competitive loan repayment programs through NHSC.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Current nursing license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Master’s Degree required.
• Minimum three years of professional nursing experience.
• Two years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care recommendations.
• Skill in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, multitasking and other organizational matters.
• Ability to educate patients, families, and staff in user-friendly manner.
• Strong computer skills with skill in using computerized health information management system.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff and the public.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
