Night Shift Mechanic Job at SANS Technical Fibers
The Mechanic is responsible for mechanical work performed on the equipment along with any other mechanical work that is necessary to keep the plant operational. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdowns, teardowns, positional problems, troubleshooting and housekeeping.
Observe all Safety Procedures
Maintain Housekeeping Standards.
Repair machine breakdowns
Maintain operators’ equipment.
Winder maintenance tasks
Perform Preventative Maintenance, Machine Cleanings, and Burnouts as required
V-Belt Maintenance/Lubrication procedures
Understand the operation and maintenance of spinning, drawing, and support equipment (Including shutdown, restart, and changeover of equipment)
Follow proper flag procedures.
Assist with plant conveyor systems.
Assist other departments and training of other employees as required.
Support plant spill prevention team.
Support all plant shutdown initiatives.
Other duties deemed necessary by Maintenance Manager.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on complex machinery.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
- Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
