Night Shift Evisceration Job at Mountaire Farms
Summary Description:
Rotate down the line cutting vents, assisting the USDA Inspector, pulling gizzards, trimming livers, or final inspection.
Essential Job Functions/ Duties:
- With a knife, cut the vent opening.
- Remove defective birds from the line.
- Pull the gizzard from the intestines.
- Using scissors, trim the liver from intestines.
- Using a knife, trim off defective parts from birds while on the line.
Physical/ Mental Requirements:
- Able to perform strenuous work in a damp environment with temperatures ranging from 45 to 55 degrees.
- Must be able to stand on a concrete surface up to four continuous hours and a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
- Able to conform to production environment.
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
- Must have the ability to learn the methods and practices used in poultry processing.
- Must have flexibility with repetitive hand movements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
