Summary

Integra-Cast Inc. is a dynamic aluminum investment casting and machining company supplying the aerospace and defense industry. The Level I Technician will perform a variety of duties in support of the NDT function; will assist as necessary in final inspection and assembly, and ensure the highest level of integrity, honesty, and customer service both internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist the Level II Technician in all areas of NDT.

* Exercise judgement based on inspector expertise, certification techniques applied, and part knowledge, as the basis for accepting or rejecting parts within required specifications.

* Review travelers, procedures, specifications, and other instructions required to perform NDT to locate and determine severity of discontinuities.

* Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions to evaluate for weld and/or casting discontinuities exceeding specified requirements.

* Assist with X-Ray generating equipment.

*Assist with FPI equipment.

* Set-up, operate, calibrate and perform Process Control Checks on NDT equipment by working with the Level II Technician, following established instructions, and record results.

* Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required and outlined.

* Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required;

* Maintain required certifications, job skills, and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications, etc.)

* Maintain work area, equipment, and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times.

* Inspect internal cavity components using borescopes.

* Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following all standards and procedures.

· Accomplish quality and organization mission by participating in audits and root cause / corrective action as needed. Provide suggestions for process improvement.

* Assist in final inspection, assembly, sandblast, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Current certification to NDT Level I in FPI or X-Ray required.

· Ability to measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

· Experience in Aerospace or Medical device inspection for AS9100 and NADCAP accreditation.

· Ability to read in English all work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.

· Attention to detail and sense of urgency to being accurate with inspected parts.

· Dependability, integrity, cooperation and taking the initiative for responsibilities and challenges are critical to this function.

· Soft skills required are: can-do attitude, active listening, critical thinking, monitoring self/others to make improvements.

· Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

· Able to work on multiple projects; well organized.

· Team player willing to learn, and at the same time, willing to grow and train.

· First shift availability, excellent attendance record essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1-3 years experience in Inspection in a manufacturing environment preferred; Aerospace or Medical Devices.

High school diploma or GED essential; Certification to NDT Level I in FPI or X-Ray required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Must have excellent command of English language: reading, writing, speaking, comprehending.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic knowledge of arithmetic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision, ability to pass annual vision exam as required.
